Reports to: Founder & CEO and Director of Project Management & Operations
Employment Type:  Part-time with ability to grow into full time
Location: Remote (with option for hybrid collaboration)

Job Description:
Responsible for identifying, researching, and securing grant opportunities that align with our clients’ missions and funding priorities. This role combines strategic research, persuasive writing, and data-driven storytelling to help nonprofit partners increase their impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for social good, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex programs into compelling, fundable proposals.

Key Responsibilities:
Grant Research & Prospecting
  • Identify prospective foundations, corporations, and government funding sources using grant databases and research tools.
  • Analyze grant eligibility, alignment, and fit to ensure efficient pursuit of high-probability opportunities.
  • Maintain and update research logs and client-specific grant pipelines.
Grant Writing & Strategy
  • Write, edit, and submit persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and reports tailored to each funder’s requirements.
  • Develop compelling case statements and impact narratives supported by data and storytelling.
  • Collaborate with program and finance teams to collect necessary information for budgets, outcomes, and deliverables.
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, timely, and aligned with client voice, brand, and strategy.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Manage multiple deadlines and track progress through internal project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Maintain calendars of submission and reporting deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of interim and final grant reports for funders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen client grant strategies based on trends and data analysis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, English, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
  • Proven success securing foundation or corporate grants.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, GrantStation, Candid).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Bloomerang, Salesforce, or similar.

Grant Writer & Researcher

Job Description:
As our Development & Strategy Director, you will be the guiding force behind the long-term sustainability of our nonprofit partners. Your expertise in fundraising strategy, campaign execution, and donor stewardship will empower organizations to maximize their revenue and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a strategic consultant to nonprofit partners, helping them develop and execute annual fundraising plans, major gift strategies, and donor engagement initiatives.
  • Provide expert guidance on donor retention, recurring giving, and capital campaigns to drive long-term sustainability.
  • Guide organizations implement best practices for grant writing, corporate sponsorships, planned giving, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
  • Develop training sessions and resources to educate nonprofit leaders and development staff.
  • Monitor fundraising data and trends to refine strategies and optimize results.

Qualifications:
  • 10 years of nonprofit experience, with a strong background in fundraising strategy and donor development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credential required.
  • Demonstrated success in leading annual campaigns and major gift initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of donor psychology and fundraising best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in fundraising metrics, CRM systems, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and public speaking skills. Raising Executive) credential preferred.
